We stayed in a small cabin. It was clean and cozy. The paved pathways are great for walking, jogging, or biking. The swimming beach is small but fun enough for kids. You can rent paddleboards, canoes, paddle boats, rowboats, or kayaks. The showers in the campground are decent and there is a playground for kids. We enjoyed our stay!
Nice quiet place. Rv and tent camping plus cabin rentals two different sizes of cabins really nice bathrooms located all over the park worth the visit
Very pretty. Roads are all new. Camp sites are very clean with new our newer bathroom facilities. Some of the trailer/rv sites are pull through with water, electric and sewer. Prices are reasonable, & the sites are near to the lake. Their are cabins and a shelter house for parties, but I never used abby of that.
We are very proud of Lake darling State Park, considering it one of Iowa's best kept secrets! Last winter we rented one of their cabins to entertain family and it was a great Gathering Spot for all. In the summer theaje Darling beach and the public fishing jetties all around the area are always a delight! Lake darling also offers an excellent handicapped-accessible fishing dock, great parking and paved roads. For those who love to camp those folks will not be disappointed as the camp grounds are everything one could hope for.
Nice family park. Modern, day use, camping, cottages, fishing and nice walking trails with wildlife.
